The pursuit of happyness was one of will smith's best film, his first with his son. This movie affect's society because it Tell's everyone to make a goal in life and you will accomplish it. In the movie he sets a great example to his son and probably to all his viewers. The media industry benefits from this movie because will smith is trying to become a part of the media in this movie. 

They used great camera work in the movie , for example when its a sad scene looking down at him and a happy scene looking straight at him. Based on a true story this film was great.
